Lakes Park Walking Tours

They are conducted the 1st Saturday of EVERY month.

This easy walk along clear paths offers an opportunity to see birds in native vegetation with experienced Bird Patrol guides pointing out the many species in Lakes Park, a Lee County birding hot spot and crucial nesting area for many birds. Tours are FREE with PAID PARKING. Parking is $1/hour or $5/all day. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress to be outside. Bring water, sunscreen and binoculars.

We ask that participants follow CDC guidance with regard to Covid: Please wear your mask and stay at least 6 feet apart.

Located at 7330 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers, Fl. 33908. Please meet at Shelter A7. Enter Lakes Park gate from Gladiolus. Turn right. Drive to end of road, continue through the parking lot. Shelter A7 is located near the Train Station. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress to be outside. Bring water, sunscreen and binoculars.

Bunche Beach Tours

Experience one of the best birding sites in Lee Co. Located in So Ft. Myers off Summerlin Rd: Meet on the beach at the end of John Morris Rd. Parking fee of $2 per hour (tour approx. 2 hrs) at meter. Bring binoculars, sun protection, shoes that can get wet, a bottle of drinking water. Restrooms in building at first parking lot on right after the small bridge. 239-707-3015

Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve
7751 Penance Blvd, Fort Myers

Take a Birding ID walk with Bird Patrol member Jose Padilla-Lopez and learn about not just birds, but all things with wings! Jose has been photographing the birds, dragonflies, and butterflies of the slough for many years. Meet at the entrance to the boardwalk off the parking area which has a $2 per hour fee.
